Angers Me To No End

So, this little libtard sends out a link via an acquaintance of mine today that takes me to a bit over at Wonkette entitled, "Here's a 9/11 Death Chart To Drive Your Wingnut Relatives Crazier." It was his own little dig at all of us knuckle-dragging-mouth-breathers who were going to be commemorating the September 11th islamic terrorist attacks today. The bit (which I will not link to) has a chart which shows a comparison of the victims of the September 11th islamic terrorist attacks versus U.S. diabetes deaths and combined U.S. gun deaths and vehicle deaths over the last nine years.

A little note to you smarmy little libtards sending this around to many of your friends today - the islamic terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001 were coordinated attacks on primarily civilian targets. The deaths caused by those islamic terrorist attacks weren't the result of diseases or vehicular accidents. The deaths caused by those islamic terrorist attacks were the direct result of the intentional actions of muslims who wanted to kill as many innocent civilians as possible in order to make a statement and to earn some major cred on the arab street.

I'll keep that in mind the next time I hear from some little libtard in need of help. I'll be straight-forward enough to tell them that they can take a long walk off a short pier, and that they can blame their fellow libtards for the cold shoulder. And if one of them gets in a tight spot with their smarmy, ivory tower, know-it-all attitude? Well, too bad for them. I'll just use their logic and point out that the ass kicking that they receive is equal to nothing more than a serious bout the flu - and since the flu affects (and even kills) more people than the libtards who get their asses kicked each year, there is nothing for them to bitch about in the first place.

So, to Wonkette and all the other air thieves out there who passed around that b.s. moral equivalency tripe today: It's on, bitches.

Ushering In Civility

Remember how President Obama was going to return civility to politics? Remember what a refreshing change he was going to be after eight years of Bush's "cowboy mentality"?

President Obama was embracing civil discourse a year ago at Notre Dame.
Obama, delivering the commencement address at the University of Notre Dame, stressed the need for intelligent, open discourse instead of angry, destructive bickering.

"When we open our hearts and our minds to those who may not think like we do or believe what we do," he said, "that's when we discover at least the possibility of common ground."

President Obama, May of 2009
Now, however, he is looking to pay a visit to the Gulf to chew bubble-gum and kick some ass; and he's all out of bubble-gum.
"I was down there a month ago, before most of these talking heads were even paying attention to the gulf. A month ago I was meeting with fishermen down there, standing in the rain talking about what a potential crisis this could be. And I don’t sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar, we talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick."

President Obama, June of 2010
It looks like President Obama has come full circle on that civility thing. Maybe that's what he meant by "change you can believe in."

The Left Wants Us To Tone It Down?

I'm sure that you have seen or heard the appeals from the political Left for the political Right to "tone down the rhetoric" leading up to, and following, the ram-through of Obamacare. They allege that the "dangerous" speech of those on the Right might push someone over the edge, and it is not the way our political discourse should work. In case you haven't, though, here are three examples of such statements from last month.
On the eve of last weekend's crucial health-care-reform votes in the U.S. House, Republicans were warning of the end of the world as we know it. [...]

This is way, way over the top. Whipped into a frenzy by such rhetoric, some demonstrators against the Democrats' plan [allegedly - ed.] shouted racial slurs at a pair of congressmen, and spit at another. - Orlando Sentinel Op-Ed, 23 March 2010

I warned during the summer recess town hall meetings that if some of the rhetoric wasn't toned down that things would get out of hand. I wish today that I had been wrong. But something is terribly wrong with our society when those who vote for legislation that some are passionately opposed to are threatened. - Gary Baumgarten, Salon, 25 March 2010

The hyperventilating from Republican politicians over the health care bill signed into law this week by President Barack Obama includes plenty in Alabama. [...]

Yet, Congress passed the bill, and the president signed it into law. While that made a lot of people angry, the proper way to respond is at the ballot box, and voters will have an opportunity to be heard in June's party primaries and November's general election. - Birmingham News Editorial Board, 26 March 2010
Got that? Hyperventilating from Republican politicians. Way, way over the top. The proper way to respond is at the ballot box. Something is terribly wrong with our society when politicians are threatened.

So, when the Republican Governor of New Jersey says that there will need to be cuts to education because the state is financially strapped, a union leader decided to state this in an email that he sent to the roughly 17,000 members of the Bergen County Teachers Union.
Dear lord, this year you have taken away my favorite actor, Patrick Swayze, my favorite actress, Farrah Fawcett, my favorite singer, Michael Jackson, and my favorite salesman, Billy Mays. I just wanted to let you know that Chris Christie is my favorite governor.
The Progressives tell us to "tone down the rhetoric" when they ram through Obamacare, but a Republican governor says that his state will need to look at reducing the amount of money spent on education, and a union leader responds to that by sending out a veiled prayer for that governor's death. And consider that the email wasn't just an off-color joke to a few of his friends and family; the email was to 17,000 members of the union that he represents.

There's your tolerant Left, folks. The next time one of them tells you to tone down the rhetoric, tell that person that he or she is your favorite little liberal - and that you'll be including them in your prayers.

Coulter Speech Cancelled Due To Security Threat

Ann Coulter was scheduled to speak at the University of Ottawa, but was advised not to appear by organizers of the event "after about 2,000 'threatening' students crowded the entrance to Marion Hall, posing a security threat." Why is it that Liberals, who love to pride themselves on their beliefs of personal freedom and tolerance, are often the ones who are stifling debate and free speech by shouting down or threatening those with whom they disagree?
A protest organizer, international studies student Mike Fancie, said he was pleased they were able to stop Coulter from speaking.

"What Ann Coulter is practicing is not free speech, it's hate speech," he said. "She's targeted the Jews, she's targeted the Muslims, she's targeted Canadians, homosexuals, women, almost everybody you could imagine."
Oh, that's right - when Leftists and Progressives stifle speech, they aren't blocking free speech, but rather they are stopping hate speech. What a specious argument.

This was at a university, for Pete's sake! Aren't universities institutions where all ideas are allowed to be expressed, and then openly discussed and examined? If you don't like what Coulter (or anyone else for that matter) is saying, then have a debate on the merits of the points raised. Discuss what she has said, and explain your view of the issues and why you believe that she is wrong.

Instead, the Leftists silence their opponents through threats and intimidation, or by otherwise denying opposing viewpoints to be spoken. They justify these actions (actions that would be defined as fascist and tyrannical if taken against them) by attempting to define the speech of their opponents as too dangerous to be spoken in a place designed for the free exchange of ideas, and too hateful to be heard by those adults who are attending their academy of higher learning. Instead of explaining what they believe to be the deficiencies in the statements of their opponents, the Progressives choose to silence that speech altogether.

It is time to take that page from their book and use it on them. We won't threaten or intimidate, we will simply attempt to persuade them that they do not want to express their dangerous opinions. We won't shout them down, we will simply provide a simultaneous counter-point in unison. And we won't resort to violence, but we will be willing to alter their physical condition while simply defending ourselves vigorously.

Catching Up On The Intolerant

I did not watch the over-the-top coverage of the inauguration, but I had enough decorum to allow the Obama fans to have their day (unlike the unhinged of the political left who protested Bush's first inauguration and egged his limo). I'm now catching up on some of this (see the previous post), and I am not seeing the tolerance and unity that the Obama camp has been preaching to all of us.

In case you can't play that, or if you are not sure that you heard it correctly, the so-called Reverend Joseph Lowery said:

Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest
And in the joy of a new beginning
We ask you to help us work for that day
When black will not be asked to get in back
When brown can stick around
When yellow will be mellow
When the red-man can get ahead, man
And when white would embrace what is right.
That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen. And Amen.
Unbelievable. Does Obama really think that he will get those of us who didn't vote for him on board with these types of statements? Do Obama's followers have any clue that they are burning the bridges on the very first day?

Personally, I don't think that any of them are thinking about the ramifications, nor do they care. They win just as poorly as they lose.

I'll do what I absolutely need to do (work, pay my taxes, etc.), but no more. Obama, his fans, and the Democrats own this now. It is now their mess, and I'll be damned if I'll help them clean it up.

To put it in a fashion that Lowery might understand better:

Black must mend the track
Brown must work the ground
Yellow must be a productive fellow
The red-man will be led, man
And white shall now take flight

You Stay Classy, Obama Fans

Let's go on a little trip down memory lane, shall we? We'll go back to election night of 2008, and the acceptance speech of Barack Obama.

Let us resist the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that has poisoned our politics for so long. Let us remember that it was a man from this state who first carried the banner of the Republican Party to the White House – a party founded on the values of self-reliance, individual liberty, and national unity. Those are values we all share, and while the Democratic Party has won a great victory tonight, we do so with a measure of humility and determination to heal the divides that have held back our progress.
Obama asked the citizens of this nation to move forward, not to be petty and immature, and to heal the divides amongst us. For those who had supported and voted for Obama, this should have been a relatively simple task. Their candidate had just won, and they were elated in the thrill and historical significance of the victory.

It's too bad that the president elect didn't remind his followers to remain magnanimous during the inauguration.

Some in the crowd ... booed the president when the large viewing screens near the World War II Memorial flashed an image of the exiting president arriving at the swearing-in. Moments later, rounds of cheers welled up as the same screens showed the incoming first lady, Michelle Obama, and her two daughters, Sasha and Malia. [...]

After the inauguration ceremony, some in the crowd waved at the aircraft in the sky. Others, however, cheered when they heard a television broadcaster announce, "George Bush is no longer president of the United States." Still others in the crowd, broke into chants of "Na-na-na-nah, hey, hey, hey, goodbye."
Bush continued to conduct himself in a dignified manner; smiling, waving, and acting in a manner appropriate for an outgoing president at his successor's inauguration.

Unfortunately, the Obama fans couldn't bring themselves to act as gracefully on our 44th President's big day. It only took those members of the crowd two-and-a-half months to completely forget the words of their candidate's acceptance speech. They failed to "resist the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that has poisoned our politics for so long."

Very classy, Obama fans. I, for one, will remember this.

Homosexuals Attack Old Lady, MSM Yawns

The tolerance crowd wasn't too tolerant of a pro-marriage 69-year-old woman who showed-up at an anti-Prop 8 demonstration. She brought a styrofoam cross, which was pulled out of her hands and trampled by the "everyone must be tolerant of us" homosexual protesters.

An elderly woman bearing a cross who attended a gay marriage protest to voice her support of the California ban was attacked by demonstrators and may now press charges.

Carrying a large, Styrofoam cross, 69-year-old Phyllis Burgess showed up at a rally last Friday against Proposition 8, the ban on same-sex marriage that was passed on Election Day in California.

She was there to show her belief in traditional marriage, she said.

Within minutes, however, angry protesters swarmed around the Palm Springs resident, yanked the cross from her hands and trampled on it.
You can watch the incident on YouTube here.

Now what, I ask you, would happen if a homosexual showed up with a rainbow flag at a pro-marriage rally, and the crowd pulled the flag from the homosexual's hands, trampled the flag, and surrounded the homosexual? My guess is that the media outcry would be immense, and that some dim whit anchor wouldn't be sitting back in the studio talking about "a lot of anger and a lot of hate, quite honestly, on both sides."

It's the tolerant left, physically attacking when they can't win the argument. If they keep it up, though, they might regret the inevitable counter-punch.

Stirring Up Racial Discord From An Ivory Tower

That's from Charles Ogletree, a Havard professor and a top advisor to Obama. Ogletree doesn't believe that "White America" will vote for a black candidate, and that the only reason that Obama has a chance is because he is half-white.

Top Obama adviser Prof. Charles Ogletree says 21st-century white America, as a general rule, remains racist towards Blacks, Latinos, and Asians, and racism is likely to persist for decades -- Barack Obama is an exception only because "he happens to be biracial," so that his election will not be proof that whites have moved beyond racism.
Interesting, isn't it, that the people who keep bringing up race are the people on Obama's side of the political aisle?

So there you have it from an Ivy League professor: Obama has a shot at this thing only because his mother was white. If Ogletree is right, though, then McCain should just need to point out that he is all white in order to get the mindless racists in "White America" to elect him in a landslide. It's B.S., of course, but without racial tension and a perpetuated sense of victimhood amongst minorities, the political left would lose the majority of their power since there would be no poor, downtrodden group left to save.

Erica Jong Warns Of New Civil War

Erica Jong, author and 9/11 truther, recently gave an interview to an Italian publication named Corriere della Sera. In the interview, she warned what would happen if America doesn't elect Barack [REDACTED] Obama as president.

"If Obama loses it will spark the second American Civil War. Blood will run in the streets, believe me. And it's not a coincidence that President Bush recalled soldiers from Iraq for Dick Cheney to lead against American citizens in the streets."
Do many on the political left truly believe this, or is it just the ivory tower elites? Moreover, if she actually believes that this is a real possibility, what is she doing to prepare for it?

More Vandalism Of McCain Signs

This time in Lakeville, Minnesota. More of the intolerant left's assault on free speech.

Dan Gust has had his political lawn signs have been destroyed several times and now the police are involved.

"The first time somebody came and pulled em out and threw them in the street," Gust said.

The second time, he says someone ran over the signs with a car. But the vandalism escalated, next his signs were shredded.

It didn't stop there, a doll was found near the sign, cut apart and filled with feces.
Those who are doing this damage must be following Obama's urging from September to be his ambassadors and to "get in their [opponent's] face."

It makes one wonder what these same Obama supporters will be emboldened to do if their beloved candidate wins the election.

Dog Feces Put In McCain Supporter's Pickup

A self-described "McCain hater" in St. Cloud, Minnesota started putting bags of feces in the back of the pickup truck of his neighbor. Why? Because his neighbor's vehicle had McCain-Palin stickers on it.

(h/t to The Jester's Axe)

The owner of the truck said he put McCain-Palin campaign stickers on his truck about two weeks ago. Shortly after, he started finding small bags of dog poop in the back of the truck.

Wednesday morning, the owner's mother saw a neighbor putting bags of poop in the truck and called police.

David Vandelinden, 45, of St. Cloud was identified as the suspect, and admitted to placing the dog poop in the truck because "he hates McCain."
The audacity of hope is fine with Obama supporters, but it seems that they can't abide the audacity of their political opponents exercising basic first amendment rights.

Unbridled Misogyny Amongst Obama Supporters

Hey, if what some random individual shouts out at a McCain/Palin rally is portrayed in the MSM as representative of all McCain/Palin supporters, then the same goes for Obama/Biden supporters, right?

This picture was taken this past weekend in Pennsylvania (not by me, see here). See the class? See the acceptance? See the tolerance? Yes, those shirts do say, "Sarah Palin Is A C***" (the last word is what you think it is; it does rhyme with runt).

If some McCain supporters showed up at Obama or Biden's hotel wearing shirts that said, "Barack Obama Is A N*****" (yes, the N-word that I was thinking of is newbie; what were you thinking?), how do you think that it would be portrayed in the MSM?

No double-standard here. Just even-handed coverage. You all saw the Obama-supporters-are-gripped-by-insane-rage stories on all of the MSM morning shows today, didn't you?

Certainly it was on The View, right? Those ladies would surely expose such explicit misogyny, wouldn't they?

Reasoned Debate, Left-Wing Style

Don't like the message? Want to disagree? Well, then just hit your opposition with your own fiery rhetoric. It seems that a couple of upstanding, young citizens in Oregon may have misconstrued that concept this past weekend.

Gene Scrutton, 50, said he was awakened about 1:30 a.m. by a neighbor who telephoned after he saw the 4-feet-by-8-feet McCain campaign sign in Scrutton's front yard on fire. The sign, which is mounted on 12-foot-long 4-by-4s, is about five feet from the home where Scrutton and his wife, Karen, have lived for 32 years.

Karen Scrutton, 50, was asleep in the room directly behind the sign and woke up when a burning bottle thrown at the sign hit one of the posts and set it on fire, he said. The devices were Pacifico beer bottles stuffed with gasoline-soaked rags, he said.

The neighbor saw a man trying to light the bottom of the sign on fire with a second burning device, he said. One of the men dropped a third, unlighted device and the two ran when the neighbor yelled, Scrutton said.
Two males in their mid-twenties, suspected of involvement in the incident, are in police custody.

Maybe they heard Obama back in September when he said, "I want you to argue with them and get in their face. ... You are my ambassadors."

Free Speech, Left-Wing Style

How about this expression of civil political discourse in South Carolina this past weekend?

Vandals spray-painted the words "Republican means slavery" on the door of the York County [South Carolina] GOP campaign headquarters overnight Friday.
Do you think that is what Obama was trying to tell his followers to do on 17 September 2008 when he made the statements below in Elko, Nevada? (Note: emphasis mine)

In Elko, Obama tried to anticipate his critics and called on the crowd of about 1,500 to sharpen their elbows, too.

"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face," he said.

"And if they tell you that, 'Well, we're not sure where he stands on guns.' I want you to say, 'He believes in the Second Amendment.' If they tell you, 'Well, he's going to raise your taxes,' you say, 'No, he's not, he's going lower them.' You are my ambassadors. You guys are the ones who can make the case."
Funny how Obama's new kind of politics are a lot like the old Chicago kind of politics, isn't it?

Al Gore Calls For Civil Disobedience

Al Gore, having failed to successfully con enough Americans into buying his global warming b.s., has decided to call on young people to commit acts of civil disobedience to prevent the construction of new coal plants.

"If you're a young person looking at the future of this planet and looking at what is being done right now, and not done, I believe we have reached the stage where it is time for civil disobedience to prevent the construction of new coal plants that do not have carbon capture and sequestration," Gore said, according to Reuters.
That's very grown-up of you, Al. Since you can't win the debate by successfully arguing the facts of the matter, you call upon young people who have fallen for your doom-and-gloom facade to violate the law in order to prevent legitimate commerce and enterprise from progressing.

Maybe if Al keeps this up, though, there might be a case to be made against him in the future for incitement of unlawful conduct.

The wine from a boutique vineyard in Chile was once a strong seller, but now it’s an outcast in the City by the Bay because its name comes way too close to a certain governor from the state of Alaska, says Celine Guillou, co-owner of the Yield Wine Bar.
