Obama Wants A Piece Of Your Life

A plumber asked Obama if his new tax plan was going to tax him more. Below is Obama's response. Sadly, this is not the setup to some joke; Obama actually gave this response.

(h/t to Joan at Primordial Slack)

"It's not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success too. I think that when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."
Obama says that he doesn't want to punish your success, he just wants to share as much of your success as he sees fit with everyone else. Well, here's another way to look at it.

I am paid about $24.00 an hour for my work. That's not a whole lot, but it's also more than others make. The liberals try to say that it's only money, and they aren't asking for that much, and that I can afford it for the greater good. But let's just think about that for a moment.

For every $24.00 that they take away from me, that is one hour of my life. That is one hour of my life that I used in the pursuit of my profession in order to earn what my employer and I agreed upon. It is time that I spent finding solutions. It is time that I spent producing something tangible. Every $24.00 that they take away is a little piece of me.

I could have taken that hour of my life and spent it on a hobby. I could have taken that hour and spent it with my wife and/or daughter. Instead, I used that hour away from the things I hold most dear in order to be able to provide for that which I hold most dear. Oh no, dear liberal, it is not only money.

The social security taxes alone that will be taken from me this year are 86 times that I could have watched a movie with my little girl, or nearly 65 date nights with my wife, or 32 neighborhood bonfires. Those social security taxes are times that I will never get to enjoy because I was too busy doing what needed to be done to earn the money to pay into a government fund that I will likely never reap a benefit from. Those social security taxes are conversations and laughter with family and friends that will never occur because I needed to spend that time making money so that some politician can use it to do what he thinks is "good for everybody."

Others don't need a little piece of my life in order to achieve success. Those others need to give up a little bit of their time and their life working toward achieving success. That, not spreading the wealth of others, is what would truly be good for everybody.

Exactly.

Except that he's a communist, not a socialist. He's a thug.

And his words harken back to Hillary's and that's why this is gonna come up again in four.

Don't get tired yet!
