Bailout/Rescue Package Passes In The House

The bill, Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, has passed in the House of Representatives by a vote of 263-171.

ROLL CALL FOR H.R. 1424

Did Not Vote----
Grand Total434235199-
Last time it was 140 Democrats for, and 95 against; and 65 Republicans for, and 133 against.

UPDATE I originally linked to roll call vote 680, which was the vote to agree to the resolution. The vote that passed this bill was roll call vote 681. The five who didn't cast a vote to agree to the resolution (Barbara Cubin [R-WY], Wayne Gilchrest [R-MD-1], David Obey [D-WI-7], Thomas Tancredo [R-CO-6], and Bennie Thompson [D-MS-2]) all voted on the motion to concur, with only Thompson voting against. Sorry for any confusion earlier.

UPDATE TWO President Bush has signed this into law. The DJIA dropped over 300 points after the bill was passed in the House, and is currently (14:36 CST) down about 4 points.
